Bone fracture

Our bodies almost depend on bones, if any bone fractures it can cause long-term disablement. Bone fractures are common in slipping, falling, and accidents. In the case of the normal crack of bone, the surrounding skin and muscles of the bone are inflamed. The patient feels severe pain. Due to the intense pull in muscles, the patient can’t do any activity with relevant body parts.

Bone fracture according to bone break shape

  1. Simple fracture:
    • If bone fractures and does not damage the skin. In a simple fracture, The muscles do not have enough disorder.
  2. Compound fracture:
    • If bone fractures and the skin is damaged the fractured bone cuts the muscles and skin. In a compound fracture, The fractured bone appears outside the skin.
  3. Complex fracture:
    • If bone fractures and other internal body parts like the brain, spinal cord, lunges, and blood vans are also damaged. This type of fracture is called complex fracture.
  4. Crush fracture:
    • If the bone is crushed and divided into small pieces after a fracture. This type of bone fracture is called crash fracture.
  5. Greenstick fracture:
    • The children’s bones are soft and flexible and often break from one side and still connected with the other side. This type of bone fracture is called greenstick fracture.
  6. Connected fracture:
    • In the connected fracture, broken edges of the fractured bone are deeply connected.

Bone fracture symptoms

The common symptoms of bone fracture are:

  1. The leg or arm commonly bends at the fractured bone.
  2. Swelling and pain around bone fracture area.
  3. Weakness in fractured bone body part.
  4. The severe pain continuously.

If any symptom is not clear about bone fracture then x-ray of the related bone is best to find the fracture of the bone.

  1. Road accident
  2. Fallen from height
  3. Hitting by any object or machine

First Aid in case of bone fracture

  1. Immediately call for medical help.
  2. Keep the patient relaxed.
  3. Control the motion of the fractured bone body part by tying wooden splints around it.
  4. Don’t make any unnecessary moves of fractured bone body parts.
